Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is hiring a Security Guard for Steinbach, MB in a full-time capacity. You will monitor premises, perform patrols, and assist with access control to safeguard client assets and people.

Qualifications include a provincial security guard license (preferred), strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to document logs and reports. Training and uniform are provided; schedule is Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial Security Guard License (Preferred).
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand and patrol duties.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• First Aid / CPR is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at the client site to protect property, assets and people.
• Conducts periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect devices.
• Maintains order and enforces site regulations for staff and visitors.
• Controls access to the client site through the admittance process.
• Patrols the site on foot or by vehicle; checks for hazards and unauthorized persons.
• Provides excellent customer service while minimizing risk to client property.
• Monitors intrusion detection and video monitoring systems.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete trainings.
• Preserves evidence or scene of incident for investigations.

SECURITY GUARD - FULL-TIME POSITION

Location: Steinbach, MB

We are seeking Full-Time Security Guard for Steinbach, MB area.

If you don’t currently hold a valid security guard license or certificate, we will pay for your training and guide you through every step of the process of obtaining your full security license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset
