Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is seeking a Full-Time Security Guard in Steinbach, MB. The role involves on-site guarding, patrols, and monitoring systems to safeguard client properties and personnel.

Responsibilities include access control, incident reporting, and providing excellent service while maintaining safety. Training and growth opportunities are available, with a schedule Monday to Friday, 1500–2300 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial Security Guard License (preferred).
• Understanding of security operations and procedures.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Ability to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at assigned client site to protect property, assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and enforces site regulations for personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site through the admittance process.
• Patrols site on foot or by vehicle; checks for hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and unauthorized persons.
• Provides excellent customer service while minimizing risk to client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incidents during emergencies or investigations.

SECURITY GUARD - FULL-TIME POSITION

We are seeking Full-Time Security Guard for Steinbach, MB area.

If you don’t currently hold a valid security guard license or certificate, we will pay for your training and guide you through every step of the process of obtaining your full security license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid provincial Security Guard License (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset
