The W̱SÁNEĆ School Board seeks a Cook to run the hot lunch program at W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Secondary School, with potential duties at other WS B kitchens. 7 hrs per day, schedule to be determined, and a strong emphasis on nutrition and safety.

Responsibilities include purchasing groceries, planning nutritious menus, preparing meals, maintaining sanitation, and cleaning up, in line with Food Safe Practices and school policies. Preference for First Nations Ancestry.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 plus one year related training or experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Food Safe Certificate, First Aid certificate and Criminal Record Check.
• Journeyman Cook Trade Certificate with a Red Seal Qualification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide hot lunch program for W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Secondary School and potentially other kitchens.
• Purchase groceries and plan nutritious menus.
• Prepare food, sanitize and clean up after meals.
• Promote proper nutrition and maintain cleanliness per policy.
