Job summary

Compass Early Learning and Care in Millbrook, Ontario, is hiring a Supply School Age Educator for a full-time, on-site role. You will engage with children, families, and staff, delivering emergent curriculum and a range of activities across school age settings.

You should have 1–3 years’ experience with children, be familiar with ECE standards and safety policies, and hold or pursue an ECE diploma. The role includes benefits, training, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience working with children.
• Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
• Valid certifications including a Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, and updated immunization records.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators OR pursuing or interested in pursuing an ECE diploma.
• Alternative childcare designation eligible for Director's Approval (e.g., Child and Youth, Recreation and Leisure, Ontario Certified Teachers - Primary and Junior).

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead interest- and play-based activities reflecting children's interests to support development.
• Maintain active supervision while engaging in play.
• Document children's learning progress through observation and reflection.
• Create and maintain a safe, healthy environment for children.
• Foster strong relationships with families and involve them in learning.
