Job description

Westgate Honda has an opportunity for a full-time Receptionist to join our family-owned and operated dealership. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing customers and assisting the sales / service teams with administrative duties. Westgate Honda is looking for a customer-centric individual who is passionate about building relationships with our customers, and other staff.

Job Duties :

  • Greet customers at our premises and over the phone in a prompt and professional manner, transferring them to the correct department.
  • Answer phones and check voicemail in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the front desk is kept clean and organized.
  • Fill out the floor traffic log.
  • Write receipts for sales transactions when necessary.
  • Stock in new vehicles.
  • Add and delete keys on the key board.
  • Fill out the back of ownerships into Westgate’s name and add them into the used garage book.
  • Sort and file photocopies of ownerships and license sheets.
  • Ensure the customer waiting area is clean and organized, and the coffee machine is kept clean and stocked with supplies.
  • Ensure the bathrooms are cleaned and replenished every three hours and cleaning schedules affixed to bathroom doors are filled out properly.
  • Prepare Purolator slips.
  • Follow reception-closing tasks.
  • Assist the accounting department with filing, scanning, etc.
  • Gladly accept additional responsibilities and support tasks as assigned.

Successful Candidates :

  • Possess 1 year experience in a Receptionist / administrative front-desk role.
  • Must be available days, evenings and Saturdays.
  • Must possess a Grade 12 High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must have exceptional telephone etiquette and listening skills.
  • Possess excellent written / oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team and possess strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
  • Must have strong computer skills and understanding of technology.
  • With experience working in a car dealership will be strongly considered.
