Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Full Time Production / Relief Mixer based in London, ON. This role covers both production and mixer duties, with production taking priority when scheduling. Relief Mixers provide coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences.

You will work four days per week over rotating 10-hour shifts, with competitive hourly pay and benefits after probation.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to wear mandatory respiratory equipment (face must be clean shaven).
  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada.
  • 12 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably as a food handler.
  • Strong communication and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work quickly, under pressure, with a sense of urgency.
  • Record and reconcile information while prioritizing.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
  • Flexibility to meet changing department needs.
  • Outstanding work safety attitude and safety record.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Repeated heavy lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
  • Supply production team with batch output requirements in a timely, as needed basis.
  • Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency and productivity targets.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept in order, completed promptly and accurately and submitted on time.
  • Maintain the highest quality & safety standards, adhering to all GMPs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the area is kept clean and tidy at all times, to prevent potential contamination and / or injury.
  • Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.
  • Liaising with relevant personnel on equipment repairs as needed to prevent and minimize downtime.
  • Support the training and development of other members within the team.
  • Ensure the overall efficiency and productivity of the operation is maintained at a high standard.
  • Keep downtime, material and time waste to a minimum.
  • Providing direction, leadership and training to other mixers when in 1st Mixer role.

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Full Time Production / Relief Mixer to join our team based in London, ON. Mixers are fully trained to work in both mixing and production roles. Production will take priority over Mixing when scheduling. Relief Mixers will provide mixing coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences.

Shift Summary
  • Required to be available for 4 days per week between Monday - Saturday.
  • All the shifts are rotational and run for 10 hours with a 30-minute break added.
Schedule
  • Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance.
  • Must be able to accommodate all the starts times on the specified shift
  • Start times could be different every day.
    • A-Shift start times between (12:00 am - 9:45 am)
    • B-Shift start timesbetween (10:30am - 8:15 pm)
What We Offer

Pay Rate:

While performing Production role, probationary rate per hour is $21.18 and full rate is $23.53

While performing Mixer role, probationary rate per hour is $24.50and full rate is $27.22
