Job summary

Dessert Holdings seeks a Full Time Production / Relief Mixer in London, ON. Mixers are trained for both mixing and production, with production taking priority in scheduling. Relief mixers cover scheduled and unscheduled absences.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (pref.), be legally eligible to work in Canada, and possess strong communication skills. The job offers competitive hourly pay with premiums for mixer work and benefits after probation.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to wear mandatory respiratory equipment (face must be clean shaven).

  • Ability to work quickly, under pressure, and have a sense of urgency.
  • Able to record and reconcile information while prioritizing.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Flexibility to meet changing department needs.
  • Outstanding safety attitude and good attendance record.
  • Repeated heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
  • Supply production team with batch output requirements in a timely manner.
  • Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency and productivity targets.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed promptly and accurately and submitted on time.
  • Maintain highest quality and safety standards, adhering to GMPs and procedures.
  • Keep area clean and tidy to prevent contamination and injuries.
  • Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate with personnel on equipment repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Support training and development of other team members.
  • Maintain overall efficiency and productivity of the operation.

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Full Time Production / Relief Mixer to join our team based in London, ON. Mixers are fully trained to work in both mixing and production roles. Production will take priority over Mixing when scheduling. Relief Mixers will provide mixing coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
  • Supply production team with batch output requirements in a timely, as needed basis.
  • Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency and productivity targets.
  • Ensure all paperwork is kept in order, completed promptly and accurately and submitted on time.
  • Maintain the highest quality & safety standards, adhering to all GMPs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the area is kept clean and tidy at all times, to prevent potential contamination and / or injury.
  • Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.
  • Liaising with relevant personnel on equipment repairs as needed to prevent and minimize downtime.
  • Support the training and development of other members within the team.
  • Ensure the overall efficiency and productivity of the operation is maintained at a high standard.
  • Keep downtime, material and time waste to a minimum.
  • Providing direction, leadership and training to other mixers when in 1st Mixer role.

Shift Summary
  • Required to be available for 4 days per week between Monday - Saturday.
  • All the shifts are rotational and run for 10 hours with a 30-minute break added.
Schedule
  • Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance.
  • Must be able to accommodate all the starts times on the specified shift
  • Start times could be different every day.
    • A-Shift (various start times between 12:00 am - 9:45 am)
    • B-Shift (various start timesbetween 10:30am - 8:15 pm)
What We Offer
Pay Rate:

While performing Production role, probationary rate per hour is $21.18 and full rate is $23.53

While performing Mixer role, probationary rate per hour is $24.50and full rate is $27.22
