Job summary

Lifemark Health Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the North Oshawa Rehab & Foot Clinic in Oshawa, Ontario. You will deliver comprehensive OT services to clients within a multidisciplinary team, driving assessment, intervention, discharge planning and education to improve client outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration, and ongoing professional development in a large national network.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province.
• 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
• Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle may be required.
• Bilingualism - French and English are assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients.
• Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in assessments, interventions, consultations, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up.
• Perform clinical evaluations, including admissions, ADL, seating and positioning assessments.
• Identify equipment needs with initiation of recommendations.
• Consult with vendors regarding equipment trials and complete funding applications.
• Educate on seating, independence with daily living activities, wheelchairs and adaptive aids.
• Provide ongoing education to clients and families to improve function, independence and safety.
• Ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.
• Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart.
