Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is accepting resumes for Security Guards for a Distribution Center in Cambridge. A valid Security Guard License and at least 1 year of security experience are required, with reliable vehicle access to the site. The position is full-time permanent with pay at $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Security Guard License.
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience, preferably in Distribution Center.
• Has a reliable vehicle access commute to the site.
• Ability to enforce basic safety practices.
• Ability to write clear, concise and informative reports.
• Ability to speak clearly and be understood.
• Physically able to perform duties including standing, walking and sitting for prolonged periods.
• Knowledgeable on CCTV, elevators, alarms, intercoms and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and restrict number of drivers entering the transport office area at any one time.
• Ensure site safety practices are followed and report deviations.
• Prepare clear and concise security reports for shift handovers.
• Operate or coordinate with CCTV and life-safety systems as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with drivers and staff.
