Job summary

Qualifications

• Around 3–5 years of professional software engineering or application development experience.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and Transact-SQL experience.
• Development experience with Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with GitHub and modern source-control practices.
• Exposure to SQL Server and BI tools like Power BI is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing and API tools such as Selenium and Postman is an asset.
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies applied to software engineering.

Full Stack Software Engineer

Build technology that powers critical financial systems

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building reliable applications, and working across technologies to modernize enterprise-scale platforms.

You’ll join our Group Functions Technology (GFT), Finance Solution Delivery team, where you’ll help design and deliver technology solutions supporting Finance and Treasury. The team works on interconnected applications responsible for financial information, reporting, cash management, treasury capabilities, and banking interfaces.

This is an opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle while contributing to the evolution of our target-state architecture. You’ll partner with engineers, architects, operations teams, and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technology solutions.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and continuously improve business applications throughout the software development lifecycle .
• Build and enhance solutions using technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage .
• Develop and optimize complex SQL and Transact-SQL supporting data-intensive applications and business processes.

• Bring curiosity to the team by challenging existing approaches and identifying better ways to design and deliver solutions.

What we’re looking for

• Approximately 3-5 years of professional software engineering or application development experience .
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle , including design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) .
• Strong SQL skills, including experience developing complex queries and working with Transact-SQL .
• Development experience with one or more modern programming technologies such as Java, Python, or Node.js .
• Experience with GitHub and modern source-control and collaborative development practices.
• Exposure to SQL Server and data or business-intelligence technologies such as Power BI or OLAP tools .
• Familiarity with testing and API tools such as Selenium and Postman is an asset.
• Interest in emerging technologies, including the practical application of AI within software engineering and business solutions.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve problems in a complex technology environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
