Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior backend engineer in Canada to design, build, and scale robust backend systems. You will own deployment workflows on GCP and PostgreSQL, while ensuring production reliability and seamless data pipelines.

The role involves guiding data-driven architecture and collaborating with researchers on demanding experiments. The candidate should have strong Python skills, experience with Mongo, and a proven track record in large-scale web applications, APIs, and RESTful

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building large-scale software and web applications.
• Experience with Next.js, CSS, HTML5.
• Strong LLMOps skills.
• Solid knowledge of Python.
• Database management experience (e.g., Mongo).
• Experience with threading and concurrency.
• Experience with containerization.
• Experience with testing and version control.
• Experience with APIs and RESTFul conventions.
• Proficient English.
