Job Description

• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Work Mode: Hybrid (once a week on-site)

Project Description

We are looking for an Application Developer to contribute to the development of a web application. The application is built using the standard technology stack of the Application Solutions Group. More specifically, this application enables the Media Library and Archives teams to enrich data using other systems or internal data sources.

We are seeking a full-stack developer who is comfortable working on both the front-end and back-end portions of the application.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Contribute, as a member of multidisciplinary teams, to the design of new systems, modification of existing ones, or implementation of purchased/customized systems.
• Participate in the delivery of new applications, maintenance, and enhancement of current ones, and act as the main technical point of contact.
• Analyze and, if necessary, revise existing issues related to system logic.
• Code complex programs and perform testing.
• Carry out programming, development, and maintenance tasks for existing or new applications.
• Ensure backup, version control, and quality of source code.
• Provide continuous support for production applications, resolve complex technical problems, and support software modifications.
• Demonstrate leadership with less experienced employees, advise and train them, and supervise their work on system components.
• Understand and be proficient in client-server applications, web development, databases, tools, and infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

• Language requirements: French mandatory; English an asset.
• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a .NET Developer.
• Strong command and recent experience with the following technologies:
• Angular 8+
• TypeScript
• WebAPI/REST
• Awareness of accessibility standards (HTML, fonts, screen readers, etc.).
• Proficiency with MSSQL databases.
• Knowledge of MongoDB is an asset.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: Entity Framework, LINQ.
• Knowledge of GIT or another source control system.
• Experience in an AGILE (Scrum) environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of Cloud environments (Azure or others) is an asset.
• Broad general knowledge and strong intellectual curiosity (eagerness to learn and develop new skills).
• Critical thinking (ability to question and propose new ideas).
• Strong interest in major web trends and challenges.
• Diligence, autonomy, and resourcefulness.
• Excellent stress and priority management skills.
