Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Developer to work on Java/Spring Boot backend and Angular frontend in a security-conscious environment. You will collaborate with product leads, support REST API data extraction, and ensure scalability and performance across platforms in Montreal area.

You will perform systems administration tasks, adopt security best practices, participate in full software delivery lifecycle, and help threat-hunt data analytics with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Angular with TypeScript, HTML, CSS for frontend.
• Strong knowledge of core Java with Spring Boot backend.
• Unix commands, DB queries, shell and Bash scripting, DB setup and modelling.
• Familiar with SDLC and CI/CD; participate in the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Ability to identify knowledge gaps and work autonomously to meet deadlines.
• Capable of synthesizing tasks into milestones in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive work style.

JOB SUMMARY

Full Stack Developer - Java, Angular | Engineering | Level 3 (CAD) - RSR MSP

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
• Support implementation and integration of technology solutions in a cyber security context.
• Systems administration of multiple components including OSes and databases.
• Drive the adoption of security best practices and ensure team compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with other technology and business leaders to ensure a cohesive security posture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability of applications.
• Experience of Platform setup/creation and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of REST API Data extraction from multiple sources.
• Should be able to support the Cyber Security Threat Hunt team with data analytics needs and Collaborate with Technology, business, security, and regulatory teams.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Angular programming including typescript, html, CSS for frontend development.
• Strong knowledge of core JAVA programming for backend code development with Spring boot framework.
• Good knowledge of Unix command, DB Queries, shell and bash scripting, Database set-up and database Modelling.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and CI/CD, should Participate in the full Software Delivery Lifecycle, including design reviews, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Ability to identify and highlight gaps in their own knowledge and proactively seek out the information required.
• Capable of synthesizing multiple asks and timelines into holistic, clearly defined milestones and deliverables within a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to apply a high attention to detail and to work autonomously and to meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and a proactive attitude in approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good to have Kafka Streaming framework for data processing knowledge.
• Good to have understanding of various firewall, application, system, platform logs, to develop code for data normalization.
• Good to have understanding of data analytics concepts.
