What's the role?

The Fulfilment Manager is responsible for directing and managing the logistics and distribution network in various regions. This position develops and implements strategies to achieve key supply chain goals in supporting the business to meet customer expectations and achieve expected operational service and cost results.

What does the role involve?
  • Lead, develop, coach, and interface with Logistics Team Members to ensure Market Organization business needs are met within the framework of the logistics strategy.
  • Provide local leadership on behalf of the Hilti North America Logistics Team to develop and implement a reliable distribution and last mile execution balancing Hilti North America's logistics and sales strategies and priorities.
  • Develop and implement communications to achieve continual improvement of logistics execution supporting customer engagement and Hilti North America's Logistics/Market Organization's profitability targets.
  • Define and develop the interface between the Market Organization and the warehouse, transportation, and materials management teams to ensure productivity and service needs are met.
  • Define and develop service standards to the customer based on customer needs for all divisions in Market Organization.
  • Develop and direct local team resources according to defined interfaces and sales trends, including working with local Division Managers to establish appropriate targeting to drive operational effectiveness.
  • Direct effective communications and teamwork within and between departments.
  • Challenge and develop operational and supply concepts across functional silos (sales and logistics).
  • Build and maintain networks internally and externally, e.g., professional associations, to identify industry trends and best practices and lead interface with Market Organization's customer executives for logistics related matters in support of Market Organization's Division Managers.
  • Additional duties, upon request.
What you need is:
  • Technical/Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Strong supply chain and third-party logistics provider experience, distribution and transportation network knowledge, and commercial competence to support customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills specifically in the areas of collaboration/teamwork at senior levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executive level audiences.
  • Demonstrated consultative influencing and negotiation skills both internally and externally to logistics.
  • Ability to manage operational and strategic aspects concurrently balancing sales and logistics for overall business value creation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to distinguish business impact and prioritization at strategic level.
  • Project management – ability to construct and drive implementation of work-plans cross functionally.
  • Experience in leading a large team through both direct and indirect reporting relationships.
  • Ability to relate to and coach team members from base market level up through and including Division Managers and drive alignment through understanding and knowledge of the audience.
