Role Overview
The Technical Fulfillment Manager leads a team of configuration specialists responsible for operating and improving our high-volume, batch data delivery platform on Google Cloud. The role requires technical expertise, leadership, and strong client communication skills to ensure reliable and quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Guidance and Support:
- Guide the team on complex configuration challenges.
- Oversee daily platform operations, ensuring accurate data processing and delivery.
- Manage platform performance, focusing on stability, scalability, and efficiency in GCP.
- Develop monitoring and alerting systems using Google Logging and Monitoring.
- Serve as escalation point for fulfillment issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards, including Canadian financial regulations.
- Follow Secure SDLC for all releases.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge base.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of 10-15 specialists.
- Set performance expectations and conduct reviews.
- Manage workload, schedules, and resources with Scrum Masters.
- Identify training needs and develop skills.
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Manage team budgets and financial forecasting.
- Client Communication:
- Handle escalations for complex client issues.
- Coordinate with delivery and product teams to meet client needs.
- Communicate fulfillment status effectively.
- Ensure positive client experiences.
Required Experience
Technical Skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with GCP services: Dataflow, Composer, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Logging/Monitoring.
- Understanding of data processing and batch systems.
- Knowledge of file encoding formats.
- Object-oriented development experience is a plus.
Business Skills
- Excellent communication in English.
- Experience managing technical projects in regulated environments.
- Leadership experience, including mentoring and performance management.
- Strong planning and resource management skills.
- Experience with high-volume batch processing.
- Financial forecasting and budgeting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial services data and regulations.
- Automation and optimization of data workflows.
- Experience with API tools like Postman or Bruno.
- Scripting skills in Python and Shell.
- Experience with Kubernetes, KMS, Pub/Sub.
- French language proficiency is a plus.
