Job summary

Kichton Construction LP is hiring a Fuel and Lube Technician for Fort Hills and Syncrude MLX projects, based near Fort McMurray. Expect 12‑hour shifts, 14 days on and 7 days off, with camp accommodations and flights from Edmonton or Calgary for Fort Hills. Syncrude site uses buses; LOA applies.

Must have 2+ years in fuel/lube tech and Class 3 license preferred. Responsibilities include lubrication, preventive maintenance, and servicing of heavy equipment across sites.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be physically fit and able to climb ladders and access machinery.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Fuel and Lube Technician.
• Previous experience driving a fuel truck preferred.
• Class 3 driver's license preferred.
• Clean driver's abstract.
• Comfortable driving at night, in adverse weather and on rough terrain.

Responsibilities

• As a Fuel and Lube technician you will be responsible for the lubrication service and maintenance of a variety of equipment including, Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, Scrapers and Loaders.
• Diagnosing & completing preventive maintenance on all company equipment.
• Greasing booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment.
• Lubricating running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
• Performing work effectively and safely in shops or outdoor construction site environments.
• Ensuring service trucks are kept clean, organized, and always maintained properly and ready for use.
• Championing our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
• Showcasing your exceptional judgement and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrating your versatility by collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.

Kichton Construction LP commenced operations in 2019 as the industrial division of the Kichton Group to serve the Energy and Mining Industries throughout North America. Compensation/Benefits

• OT after 8 hours per day or 40 hours in a week.
• $2.00 per hour increase after 90 days subject to a successfully performance review.
• 9.6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay on all regular hours paid out bi-weekly.
