Why this role is important:

The Consultant Pharmacist is an integral part of the healthcare team supporting medication use in long-term care and retirement homes. The role involves reviewing medications, providing drug information, educating healthcare staff, and promoting resident safety. The position requires onsite presence at a nursing home in Toronto.

What you'll do:

• Manage relationships and act as a Brand Ambassador for MediSystem.
• Deliver operational and clinical services as per contractual obligations.
• Conduct medication reconciliation audits and regular visits to facilities.
• Support business development and participate in clinical initiatives.
• Develop and implement medication policies and clinical projects.
• Provide education and support safe medication practices.
• Document clinical work accurately in EHR and pharmacy systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve resident outcomes.

What you bring:

• Registered Pharmacist licensure in Ontario with professional liability insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Clinical or geriatric pharmacy experience preferred.
• Long-term care pharmacy background is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with pharmacy software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle for travel.
