Position: Clinical Pharmacist (Full-Time, Contract)

As a full-time, one-year contract Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive clinical and distributive services to inpatients and outpatients within a computerized environment. Your expertise in psychiatry and addictions will support safe and effective medication management. You will collaborate with pharmacy team members and healthcare providers, evaluating medication orders, developing pharmaceutical care plans, resolving drug therapy problems, collecting medication histories, facilitating medication reconciliation, and ensuring accurate dispensing.

This role also involves participating in risk management, patient safety, knowledge sharing, and quality improvement activities. You will teach, mentor, and transfer knowledge to students, residents, and interns, supporting the department’s educational and research commitments. The workplace values diversity and complies with all regulatory and legislative standards.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Pharmacy and registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)
  • At least two years of relevant pharmacy experience
  • Experience in a mental health setting or postgraduate pharmacy training is an asset
  • Knowledge of computerized drug distribution systems and pharmacy operations
  • Strong understanding of medication safety and clinical activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability for self-directed learning and effective teamwork
  • Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset
