Job summary

CIBC's Digital Web Development team is seeking a Frontend Javascript Developer Lead to architect, implement and maintain high-quality front-end solutions for enterprise-scale web applications, coordinating across backend systems.

You will lead technical design, development and integration efforts, mentor developers, and shape multi-year roadmaps in a hybrid on-site/remote work model with 1–3 days on-site in Toronto.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of frontend web development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement front-end solutions for enterprise-scale web apps.
• Lead planning and strategy for technical design, development and integration.
• Run code-review sessions and mentor intermediate and senior developers.
