Job summary

CIBC's Shared Platform Technology team is delivering enterprise-scale, cloud-based applications across multiple back-end systems. As a Sr. Consultant, Back End Developer- Java, you will build, implement and maintain flexible solutions in Java and Go, and shape technical design and integration.

You’ll work with on-site 1-3 days per week in a hybrid model, with other days remote, focusing on client impact and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to drive digital transformation.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years experience in Java development.
• Good knowledge of GoLang is desirable.
• Familiarity with Containerization (Docker), Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Web Services and Unix.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain flexible, modular back-end solutions in Java and Go.
• Assist with planning, design, development and integration of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define specifications.
