Why this role is important?

SUMMARY :

The Front Store Manager (FSM) is responsible for managing the overall performance of the Front Store, including all areas such as cosmetics (excluding Pharmacy). The FSM leads staff to provide excellent customer service, manages processes and procedures using financial resources, and ensures store objectives are met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

OPERATIONS :

• Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience, drive traffic, and impact profitability.
• Ensure store standards are consistently followed, including the backroom.
• Manage labour scheduling and utilize Workforce Management (WFM) to maximize productivity.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for effective store operation.

HUMAN RESOURCES :

• Comply with HR standards.
• Support hiring for all departments except Pharmacy.
• Manage wage administration within guidelines.
• Conduct probationary and annual staff performance reviews.
• Coach, develop, and motivate staff, fostering Blue Culture and engagement.

FINANCE :

• Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and address discrepancies.
• Meet financial targets periodically.
• Set and monitor departmental goals to motivate staff.
• Develop strategies for business efficiency.

Qualifications :

• Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in inventory management and expense control.
• Effective leadership, mentorship, and staff development abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years retail management experience.
• Ability to lead by example and support corporate programs.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, communication, and financial skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
