Walmart Canada Fort McMurray is seeking an engaged Front End Team Associate to support department operations, greet customers, promote products, locate merchandise and help resolve issues while ensuring smooth task completion.

You will participate in scheduling with the People Lead, coach and develop associates, lead daily huddles, maintain safety and cleanliness, and assist on the sales floor as needed; minimum pay starts at $22.40 per hour in this role.

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Ensures safe work processes and emergency procedures are followed ie. Safe lifting techniques, cleanliness of area, evacuations, down registers, emergency codes, theft etc.
• Handles customer and associate concerns and provides guidance as required.
• Delegate, assist and follow up overall front-end operations, ensuring proper coverage, coordinating breaks.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to alidate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Ensure strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity. ie scanning accuracy, productivity, company programs and initiatives, discounts, credit card service, Walmart Protection Plan, charity events, etc.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

Position Summary…

Assists in the leadership of the Front End and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries, and develop associates through teaching and training. Ensure a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.
Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $22.40.
