Job summary

The Home Depot Canada in St. John's is hiring a Head Cashier Part Time to support the Front End Supervisor, coach front end and lot associates, and help ensure a smooth checkout experience for customers.

You will lead by example, manage staffing through scheduling, participate in training, and handle customer issues as a first escalation point, maintaining safety and compliance. This role requires 1–2 years retail or cash experience and at least 1 year of leadership, with a high school diploma

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years Retail or Cash experience an asset.
• Minimum 1 year leading people.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in GET behaviours and promote associate morale.
• Coach and train Front End and Lot Associates.
• Ensure sufficient checkouts and manage queue.
• Schedule coverage and escalate customer issues.
• Train cashiers and operate cash machines.
