Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Head Cashier to support the Front End Supervisor in driving outstanding customer service and efficient checkout operations. You will coach and develop front-end and lot associates, help schedule coverage, and address customer issues with prompt escalation when needed.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of retail or cash handling experience and at least 1 year of leadership. This role requires flexibility with evenings and weekends in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of retail or cash handling experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Model GET behaviours to motivate associates and enhance customer experience.
• Coach and train front-end and lot associates; assist with scheduling and escalation handling.
• Lead front-end operations to ensure efficient checkout and coverage.
• Maintain safety, loss-prevention practices and asset protection.
• Coordinate cash handling and assist guards for cash collection.
• Monitor daily staffing to meet business needs and ensure readiness for promotions.
• Maintain front end readiness for ad execution and flyers.
