Job summary

Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is seeking a Software Developer – Front End – Intermediate for an onsite role in Toronto, starting September 21, 2026, with a potential extension to October 1, 2027. The candidate will design, develop and test front-end components using React, TypeScript, Next.js and RESTful APIs within a large organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies and React framework.
• Hands-on development experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js and Next.js.
• Experience building and testing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of Jamstack architecture.
• Strong front-end debugging, testing and page-load optimization skills.
• Experience working within a large organization / big teams.
• AODA/WCAG compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and implementing front-end code including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces.
• Translating technical specifications into working, tested applications and writing/generating code, compiling data-driven programs, and performing unit tests.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during use and operation of software packages, including implementation, conversion and migrations.
