Job summary

Source Code in Toronto is seeking a Front End Software Developer (Intermediate) for a 1-year contract, onsite in Toronto. You will design and implement engaging user interfaces using React and TypeScript, build and test RESTful APIs, and contribute to Jamstack architecture within a large organization.

You should have hands-on development experience, strong debugging and testing skills, and be adept with responsive design and version control. Onsite collaboration is expected.

RQ11548 - Software Developer- Front End - Intermediate

Location:Toronto (5 days Onsite)

Duration : 1 year contract + 1 possible extension

Must Have:

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with React framework and TypeScript
• Experience with Node.js and Next.js
• Experience building and testing RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of Jamstack Architecture
• Must have current/hands-on Development exp.
• Hands on experience with responsive design, front-end testing and debugging techniques, page load optimization and version control
• Experience working within a large organization / big teams
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards Ability to provide user and system documentation as required

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and implementing front end code including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces
• Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
• Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.
