Job summary

Kasko Cattle is seeking a dedicated team member to join our feedlot operations near Taber, Alberta. This permanent full-time role focuses on cattle processing, health, and safe movement within the facility, with opportunities to contribute to animal welfare and facility upkeep.

Ideal candidates bring cattle handling experience, reliability, and good communication. A Class 5 license and basic computer skills are expected. Outdoor work, 7:00 AM start, and evenings at home after shifts are common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is an asset.
• Agriculture or feedlot experience is an asset.
• Class 5 driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Process cattle: induction, re-handling, vaccinations, implants, ear tags, and weight recording.
• Sort cattle for marketing and move them safely within the feedlot.
• Maintain pens, equipment, and water bowls.
• Follow all safety and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate daily with feedlot manager, feed truck driver, and occasionally office staff or contractors.
