Kolk Farms Ltd. is seeking a Feed Mill maintenance Technician to keep our feed mill operating safely, efficiently and reliably. The role is based in Iron Springs, Alberta and requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and implement practical solutions.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Capable of working independently and taking initiative.
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn new skills.
• Great attention to detail with a safety-focused mindset.
• Experience in dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environments.
• Experience in agriculture, feed mill, heavy equipment, welding, millwright or industrial maintenance is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor feed mill equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and equipment breakdowns.
• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Work with conveyors, augers, motors, bearings, belts and hydraulics.
• Identify potential problems before downtime.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all safety, feed safety and biosecurity procedures.
• Collaborate with feedlot and maintenance teams to keep production running smoothly.
• Maintain basic maintenance and repair records.
• Assist with other feedlot and mill duties as required.
