Grandview Cattle Feeders Ltd. is seeking a General Feedlot Worker to perform barn and feed yard duties, operate farm machinery, and assist with cattle handling to keep our operations running smoothly.

You will work 10-hour shifts with day hours and a rotational weekend schedule, with pay ranging from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour and bonuses for overtime. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining clean, well-organized facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous farm work or agriculture experience preferred.
• Ability to operate farm equipment such as tractors and loaders (training provided).
• Class 5 driver's license.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Grandview will train the right candidate.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily tasks in the barn and feed yard, ensuring all work is completed efficiently.
• Low-stress cattle handling.
• Processing arriving cattle, tagging, implanting and more.
• Assist with loading and unloading cattle for shipping.
• Bedding for the cattle.
• Operating farm machinery and equipment as needed.
• Working independently and as part of a team to complete tasks.
• Maintaining the feedlot and equipment, including the barns, fields, and work areas, and keeping all areas clean and tidy.
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

General Feedlot Worker

As a Feedlot Worker, you are an integral part of ensuring smooth operations by carrying out various duties in the barn and around the feed yard. You can be found everywhere in the facility, from the fields we work, to the barn, feed yard and operating one of our various machines.
