The Salvation Army in Fort St. John is seeking a Front Desk Worker for its supportive housing program. You will be the main point of contact for tenants and respond to inquiries, supporting a safe, respectful environment.
The role requires empathy, reliability and the ability to handle challenging situations, including welfare checks and coordination with external agencies as needed. Experience in social services is preferred.

POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY: The Supportive Housing Front Desk Worker will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment in the supportive housing program and responding to tenant inquiries and complaints in accordance with the program plan, contractual agreements, Salvation Army standards, best practices and identified tenant needs. They will report directly to the Program Supervisor.
Basic Functions/Responsibilities
The incumbent's work environment is typically in a supportive housing facility which operates 24 hours per day
The incumbent might require to lift or move items up to 30 lb with no assistance from others.
The incumbent will work under the following disagreeable conditions:

The performance of the job requires continuously monitoring the environment, frequently interacting with tenants, attentive listening, and moderate attention when recording information.
The incumbent must have more up to one year of prior related experience, including experience with frontline work in a social service setting.
The salary range is based on the Collective Agreement, not any other factors.
The target hiring range for this position is $23.64 to $24.02 with a maximum of $24.39. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
