Job summary

Quality Inn & Suites Downtown Charlottetown is seeking a student front desk associate to check in guests, manage reservations, and provide information about local attractions. The role includes handling payments, currency exchange, and coordinating wake-up calls.

The position is available to students enrolled full or part-time, with 16–24 hours per week and shift flexibility. fluency in French is noted as the working language.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student.
• Available for shift or on-call work.
• Able to start on the date listed in the posting.
• Experience in hospitality or front desk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
• Process group arrivals and departures.
• Take, cancel and change room reservations.
• Provide information on hotel facilities and services.
• Provide general information about points of interest in the area.
• Exchange foreign currency.
• Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments.
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
• Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
• Follow emergency and safety procedures.
• Clerical duties (faxing, filing, photocopying).
• Answer telephone and relay calls/messages.
• Assist clients/guests with special needs.
• Contact customers to deliver wakeup calls.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Provide customer service.
