Prairie Co-op in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK, is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Fresh Food Manager to oversee the Bakery, Deli, Meat & Produce departments at our Food Centre. The role drives department strategy, budgets, pricing, promotions and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma required.
• 6–9 years of relevant retail experience with 3 years in a leadership role.

What you’ll do:

The Fresh Food Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Bakery, Deli, Meat & Produce Departments. Responsible for establishing short- term strategies, goals, and objectives for the Bakery, Deli, Meat & Produce in alignment with Prairie Co-op’s strategic plan. Responsible for coaching and developing team members and team leaders, providing day-to-day direction and guidance, including timely performance management and training, development and succession planning.

• Provide operational direction and oversight in the implementation of current and upcoming programs and policies.
• Manages growth of sales to improve profitability and makes recommendations and oversees Bakery, Deli, Meat & Produce pricing, promotions, and products.
• Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
• Assumes direct responsibility for operations of the Bakery, Deli, Meat & Produce and ensure company procedures are followed and completed in a timely manner.
• Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, development and succession of team members.
• Responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions. Oversee and monitor client satisfaction levels, ensure customer issues are resolved, and identify areas for improvement.
• Responsible for the timely execution, coordination and oversight of all safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies including the Manager on Duty (MOD) policy.
• All other duties as assigned by the Food Centre Manager.
