Job summary

Islands West Produce in Victoria, BC is seeking a Production Line Operator to join our team. You'll set up, operate, monitor, and complete production runs on our lines and equipment used for fresh-cut fruits and vegetables.

The role emphasizes food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while supporting a team. Applicants should have at least 1 year of related experience and solid mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related production or manufacturing experience.
• Must learn and safely operate production equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environment.
• Excellent reliability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production lines and equipment.
• Verify product specifications before each run.
• Monitor line performance and adjust for safety and efficiency.
• Ensure product quality and packaging requirements.
• Troubleshoot routine issues and minimize downtime.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate status to Lead Hand or Supervisor.
• Support line workers and assist with training.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by Management.
