Job summary

Ebury's Toronto office is expanding its Credit Risk function. You will be among the first analysts dedicated to Canada, assessing SME credit, analysing markets, financials, products and cash headroom, and preparing submissions for the Credit Committee.

You will contribute to automated risk modelling, adapt processes to local markets, and provide qualitative insight to credit decisions, including granting lines, monitoring them and pursuing collections.

Qualifications

• Background in SME credit underwriting or financial analysis.
• Clear, structured communication to explain complex concepts.
• Solid understanding of Canadian accounting principles.
• Knowledge of FX markets and vanilla products.
• Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support and report to the Country Head of Credit Risk.
• Undertake ad hoc requests from Head of Credit Risk.
• Perform detailed credit analysis for trade finance and currency trading products.
• Present and defend your analysis at credit committee meetings including C-Suite.
• Collaborate with front office and operations to ensure a smooth client experience.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and monitor their credit standing.
• Proactively manage your own pipeline of work.
• Liaise with managers across geographies to add insight.
• Share thoughts to improve processes.
