New Minas Dental Centre is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team in New Minas, Nova Scotia. The role supports dentists and hygienists, prepares treatment rooms, and assists with patient care across a range of services. The clinic emphasizes modern technology and patient-focused care.

Candidates must be registered/certified and have prior dental assisting experience preferred. Full-time or part-time schedules are available, with typical hours 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.

Formación

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
