The New Minas Dental Centre is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join their full-time team. You will assist dentists and hygienists, prepare rooms, take X-rays, and maintain infection control in a fast-paced clinic in Nova Scotia.

Candidates must be registered or certified with the provincial body. Prior dental assisting experience is preferred, and you will support patient care, scheduling, and administrative tasks in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
