Job summary

New Minas Dental Centre is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide comprehensive preventive care and patient education in a 4-day work week schedule (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Compensation includes a signing bonus and competitive wages of $55–$65 per hour based on experience, with access to advanced dental technologies and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required.
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing is required.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate dental hygiene services for patients.
• Perform scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride applications, sealants and whitening for patients.
• Educate patients on oral health and prevention strategies.
• Maintain ethical and professional behavior while delivering tailored patient experiences.

Your Role:

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish andretainpatient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistentlymaintainingethical and professionalbehaviour

About You:

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degreeisrequired
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory bodyisrequired
• Valid CPR certificationisrequired
