Job summary

Oxford Learning Saint-Laurent is seeking part-time teacher-tutors to work after school and into evenings, with sessions on Saturdays. In-person work at the Saint-Laurent location, with pre-planned lessons and full training in our methods.

You will teach up to three students at a time, covering math, science, English and French, and provide daily updates to students and families. Relocation is not offered; a reliable schedule through the school year is preferred, with potential summer

French, Math, and Science Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning VSL is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning do not need to plan lessons before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work after school and in the evenings (4:00 pm - 7:00 pm), as well as on Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm). We prefer a commitment through the end of the school year. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education:

• Postsecondary students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 11 curriculum, including math and science

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring English, French, math and science at a Kindergarten to Grade 11 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English and French written and oral communication skills
• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday availability from 4 pm - 7 pm
• Saturday availability from 9 am - 1 pm
