Job description

The Mission Public School District is located on the traditional, ancestral, unsurrendered, and shared territories of Stó:lo people, of Leq'á:mel, Semá:th, Máthxwi, Sq'éwlets and Qwó:ltl'el First Nations, stewards of this land since time immemorial.

French Immersion TTOC-Teachers Teaching on Call

Successful candidates will be teaching in a variety of schools and grade levels, supporting learners.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary or Secondary) degree or equivalent training
  • Valid BC Teaching certificate
  • Experience teaching French immersion at all levels
  • Native-like fluency in oral and written French
  • Ability to passa French Immersion fluency assessment or have completed a long practicum in immersion
  • Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French, plus a good working knowledge of English
  • Highly effective team member
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge of BC curriculum

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from$61,502-$112,806, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
