Job summary

LAPORTE is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our Ontario offices in Toronto or London. The role focuses on designing and integrating automated production systems for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in PLC programming, control systems, and project leadership, with experience in Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens platforms, and willingness to travel to client sites across the Greater Toronto Area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering (APE), electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • 10-12 years’ experience in industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens products.
  • Experience in the food and/or pharmaceutical industry (an asset).
  • Occasional visits to clients in the Greater Toronto Area.

Senior Automation Engineer, Toronto, ON / London, ON
This position is available at either of our office locations in Ontario.
