Job description

ROCKWOOL is seeking a French Bilingual Technical Services Specialist to join our Technical Services Team.

You will provide technical support to ROCKWOOL internal personnel and external customers, to facilitate, promote, and advise on the use of ROCKWOOL products in various applications. This position is based onsite in our Milton, ON head office, full time. It reports to the Technical Services Manager and has no direct reports.

What You Will Be Doing
  1. Provide technical product and application support in English and French via telephone, email, and in person to internal teams and external customers including specifiers, architects, resellers, and installers.
  2. Resolve customer complaints effectively, reporting severe concerns appropriately.
  3. Manage inquiries in a high-volume technical call center environment efficiently.
  4. Maintain detailed records of support interactions.
  5. Complete necessary trainings to stay current with product knowledge.
  6. Support the development of technical understanding within ROCKWOOL's Business Development and sales teams.
  7. Develop and support training programs, including CEU development.
  8. Evaluate the impact of technical services on sales using internal tools.
  9. Monitor competitor performance and adopt best practices.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with industry counterparts.
  11. Contribute to strategic and operational planning for technical services.
What You Bring
  1. College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technological or science field; Master’s in related fields is an asset.
  2. P. Eng or eligibility to register as an E.I.T. is an asset.
  3. 2+ years of relevant experience in building materials, consulting, or construction industry.
  4. Experience in call centers and technical services is advantageous.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to read architectural drawings and technical documents.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  8. Ability to travel internationally.
  9. Studies or experience in Building Materials, Fire Engineering, Building Science, Acoustics, or Building Codes are strong assets.
