Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking an operations associate to load/unload freight, scan and sort packages within the facility, and transport items between locations. The role supports up to 10% emergency deliveries and requires safe operation of vehicles and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities include auditing package sizes/weights, using tracking equipment, and maintaining equipment. Bilingual ability may be required in Quebec; a valid license and a good driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Valid Class 5/Class G license with clean driving record.
• Able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs regulations is an asset.
• Must be bilingual (French and English) if located in Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads company vehicles and containers.
• Audits size and weight of packages.
• Sorts packages by service type and destination per procedures.
• Scans packages using computerized tracking equipment.
• Ensures safety procedures in handling packages and security of FedEx Canada property.
• Cleans, washes and maintains vehicles as needed.
• Operates vehicles and equipment safely and in compliance with regulations.
• May pick up and deliver on an emergency basis up to 10% of the time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
