Would you like to earn some extra money and work from home? Our client, well established and growing translation firm in Toronto, is looking for qualified, freelance translators with experience and ability to translate from English to French. Work is paid out on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for translation of different material (marketing, packaging, pamphlets, communications, website information, manuals, etc.) from English to French (Canadian)
• Ensures that translated material content conveys original meaning and tone
• Content proofreading (self and other translators) - provide constructive feedback on work of other translators
• Research information pertaining to client translation requests
• Conducts terminological research to ensure accuracy of the translations
• Verify that all content has been translated prior to its delivery to client
• Stay current on new translation tools and practices

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of proven translation experience (French first language)
• University education ideally in linguistics and / or translation
• Experience working with translation software tools (i.e. Trados, LogiTerm, MultiTrans, WordFast)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread
• Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines
