We are currently looking for researchers, retired researchers, and former researchers who can perform peer reviews for journals and publishers.
You should be able to disclose your full name and affiliations with the publishers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess novelty by determining whether the manuscript is original and adds new knowledge or insights to the field.
- Evaluate study design and methodology to ensure appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity for reproducibility.
- Review literature to verify thorough citation of relevant, up-to-date research.
- Analyze results and conclusions for clarity, appropriateness, and support from data.
- Provide constructive feedback, highlighting flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
- Recommend publication status—acceptance, revision, or rejection—based on your evaluation.
Qualifications and Prerequisites:
- Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in one of the specified specialized fields.
Specialized subject areas include:
Cardiology/Vascular medicine, Hematology, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Clinical Oncology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory medicine, Reproductive medicine (OBGYN), Surgery, Public health, Geriatrics, Nursing, and Occupational health.
- At least two publications in the last two years in your subject area.
- Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written communication skills for clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to confidentiality and objectivity.
- Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with online manuscript review systems.
