Job summary

Brex is seeking a Fraud Strategy Associate in Vancouver to own the integrity of Brex's fraud and risk ecosystem across credit, deposits, and card rails. You’ll design detection logic and automations while partnering with Risk, Data Science, Engineering and Product.

The role is hybrid with a Vancouver office base; three in-office days (Mon/Wed/Thu) plus up to four weeks of remote work per year, supporting growth and impact across markets.

Qualifications

• SQL and/or Python for data wrangling.
• 3+ years of experience in fraud strategy, risk operations, or data-driven business operations.
• Ability to build scalable processes and manage complex projects from data exploration through rollout.
• Excellent communication to summarize analyses for executives.

Responsibilities

• Mine data with SQL and Python to detect fraudulent patterns across rails.
• Design and refine automated detection logic to reduce risk while preserving user experience.
• Collaborate with Risk, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering and Product to embed fraud prevention.
