Job summary

North America General Contractor Ltd. in Toronto, ON is seeking a finish carpenter for full-time, on-site work. The role involves measuring, cutting, shaping and joining wood and other materials, building foundations, installing floor beams, subflooring and walls, and guiding apprentices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to work on-site in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Instruct apprentices.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
