Job summary

R.S.D FRAMING & FORMING LTD. is seeking a on-site framing professional to read blueprints, prepare estimates, and supervise a small crew on residential or light commercial projects. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, joining materials, and coordinating tasks according to building codes.

The position requires 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in framing, English language proficiency, and the ability to work at a fixed location with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Prepare tenders and quotations.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
• Supervise other workers.
