Job summary

Altis Recruitment is partnering with a transportation-sector organization to hire a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis in Ottawa. This hybrid role offers strategic influence, leading annual budgets, forecasts and long-term planning.

You will develop financial models and dashboards, partner with budget holders, oversee capital programs and coordinate audits, while coaching a talented team and driving data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, accounting and long-term planning.
• CPA designation and postsecondary education in finance, accounting, business or related field.
• Strong financial modelling, advanced Excel and ERP skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
• Proven supervisory experience, including coaching and performance management.
• Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Financial system migration experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgets, forecasts and long-term planning across business units.
• Partner with budget holders to assess financial drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Develop financial models, dashboards and executive reporting.
• Oversee capital program financial processes and support major infrastructure projects.
• Prepare pension plan financial statements and coordinate audits and regulatory reporting.
• Coach team members and improve processes, systems and data accuracy.
