Champion Petfoods is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on financial analysis, reporting, and supporting budgets and long-term plans, with hybrid work from Edmonton, Nashville, or Louisville.

You will collaborate with the VP of FP&A, manage corporate reporting, KPIs, and provide actionable insights. CPA preferred and CPG experience is valued; 5+ years in finance are expected.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum five years' experience in a finance role.
• Minimum two years' experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred.
• Very strong financial writing skills. Ability to tell the story around the numbers.
• Experience with ERP systems, including reporting tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to develop and sustain successful internal and external working relationships.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests.
• Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Working extended days and weekends as necessary.
• Able and interested to work in a 12-month contract role.

Responsibilities

• Report and analyze financial statements and KPI performance.
• Lead monthly business review with executive team.
• Prepare monthly KPI and management reports for stakeholders.
• Enhance ERP data capture with IT for FP&A reporting.
• Provide ad hoc analyses and scenario planning.
• Coordinate regional reporting with Global regions.
