Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking an Associate Analyst, BP Controls Input to join its Toronto team on a hybrid basis (4 days in office per week). The role focuses on financial governance, FP&A depth, and executive reporting across BP portfolios.

You will consolidate opex and project spend, validate variance explanations against GL and Planview, and prepare executive-ready materials for SVP/VP review. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, dashboarding (Power BI), and strong stakeholder management

Qualifications

  • Seasoned financial analyst with FP&A depth and variance analysis.
  • Experience with Planview (or equivalent) and executive reporting.
  • Governance/PMO exposure and ability to coordinate senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, PowerPoint, Excel, and dashboarding skills (Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate Opex and project spend across BP portfolios and compare to monthly/quarterly snapshots.
  • Validate AVP/DPM variance explanations against GL, Planview, forecasts, and budget trackers; build executive presentations by portfolio.
  • Produce executive-ready reporting that highlights business impact for SVP/VP review.
  • Track spend versus allotment; forecast active SOWs and accruals; ensure invoices are paid on time.
  • Support accruals, forecasting, and variance explanations; assist FP&A with quarterly Opex forecasting.
  • Coordinate weekly SVP/AVP approval meetings and ensure executive readiness of contracts; track contractor endpoints.
